The Flavia Vignale

The Flavia convertible was introduced in the same year as the PF coupé and shared the same engine specifications as the closed car. The design was by Vignale, a small coachbuilder from Milan.

Said to be a 'genuine' 4 seater, according to Lancia adverts, but was really a 2+2 as was the PF coupé. Production ceased in 1967, at the same time as the Zagato Sport model  production was stopped.

It was available as a 1500cc model between 1962 to 63, and as an 1800 model from 1963 to 1967, although some cars may have been sold on as 1968 models. The instruments as well as the mechanicals, were shared with the PF coupé, including the piano key type switches and the strip speedo/round tacho combination. The dashboard, door panels, etc. are unique to the Vignale.

It was, like all Flavias, expensive. In 1965 it cost £2367 or £2500 with the factory hardtop. Kugelfischer injection was fitted to 43 cars.

Although not included in the technical specifications elsewhere in this web site it was given a Lancia factory type number of 815.135 (RHD) for the 1500 and type 815.333 (RHD) for the 1800
